I’m Back!

Although I do not have many followers of this blog, for those of you who do follow it, you  may have been wondering where I have been.  I have been “doing life”. 🙂  Life can become so busy and take so much out of a person that writing a blog needs to be put on the back burner for awhile.  That is what I needed to do.  Now I am feeling like I should continue with where I left off in January.  In my last post I encouraged you to be ready for Christ’s return, first and foremost.

Today I want to re-emphasize the importance of knowing you are ready for Christ’s return.  Do you know Him?  Do you love Him?  Do you long to be with Him forever? Do you begin each day with the thought, ” He may come for me today!”?  When you think of His return, are you excited and joyful, or are you hoping it won’t happen “quite yet’?  If you are hoping He holds off coming for a little while longer, what is the reason behind that hope?  Are there loved ones who still don’t KNOW Him, even though they may know OF Him?  Do you have “things” you need to do first before He comes to take you home?  Depending on your answers to all those questions, you will probably know whether or not you are truly ready for that great and glorious day.

But THAT DAY will come, because God always keeps His promises.  Oh that we would be waiting expectantly and eagerly to see Him face to face!

“But of THAT DAY and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.” (Matt. 24:36)

“Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and THAT DAY will not come on you suddenly like a trap;” (Luke 21:34)

“in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on THAT DAY; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing. (2 Tim. 4:8)

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.  Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.  Therefore comfort one another with these words. (1 Thess. 4:16-18)

Please read those references one more time and think about them.  May the Lord stir your heart to be ready for His return!

Hi Deb…What a wonderful reminder of the importance to KNOW Him! I eagerly await His return…however, admittedly hope for just a “little more time” to pray for and witness to those who still reject/are indifferent to Him. (2 people in particular). Thank you for coming back and sharing your thoughts…I look forward to many more of your insights and words of Godly wisdom! xo Teresa
